Liudmila Schafer, MD, FACP, is a board-certified and award-winning medical oncologist, an Associate Professor of Medicine, #1 Best Seller Author of book “The Other Side of Oncology,” Forbes contributor, Podcast and TV host on ABC15, a TEDx speaker, certified Teacher-Scholar in cancer education, principal investigator, founder and CEO of The Doctor Connect consultancy specializing in helping physicians with media appearances and grow their business or side hustle through ‘National Impact Strategy.’
For three decades, she has pursued hard-fought advances in her passion, finding avenues for progression as a female oncologist and clinical researcher.
‘When my Father passed away and I was standing in on the cemetery in front of the ground where on the bottom my Dad was lying down in the coffin and it was August 2021 during COVID. When I return to work, I realized that teaching outside one patient’s room is most valuable. This brough a concept how can I utilize myself for a bigger cause.’
After 26 years in medicine, she went from academic institutions and being an employed physician for her entire adult life, to business and media strategist. She has published work in peer-to-peer journals, has been featured on regional and national television, including Bloomberg, Forbes.com, NBC, , FOX4, YAHOO/life, News Ticker, The List, Verywell Health, BestLife, Eat This Not That, Authority Magazine, Thrive Global among a few.
My ultimate motivation is to help other physicians learn how to tap into their full potential and marry the credentials they already have with their passions to have a backbone of successful business or side hustle.
