Matt is the founder of Divergent Path Capital and a seasoned investment professional with over 20 years of experience managing investments for pensions, foundations, and corporations. He currently serves as President & Chief Investment Officer of the Baylor Oral Health Foundation, and previously held leadership roles at Northern Trust, Alight Solutions, and Aon, overseeing multibillion-dollar portfolios and executing strategies across public and private markets. Matt has a Bachelor of Science from Miami University, Master’s of Accounting for the University of Michigan and Master’s of Business Administration (MBA) from Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern. Outside the office, Matt is a father, husband, competitive triathlete, private pilot, and lifelong learner.

Marcel is the founder of Simplify Wealth Planning, a fee-only flat-fee fiduciary firm based in Austin, Texas and serving clients nationwide. He specializes in financial planning for professionals with complex compensation and has 15+ years of experience spanning institutional investing and private wealth management. Marcel is a member of NAPFA (the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors) and holds both the Chartered Financial Analyst and Certified Financial Planner designations. Don has helped affluent families and retirees successfully protect, grow, spend and share wealth for over 30 years. Don provides multi-generational financial guidance to members of family-owned businesses, counsels medical professionals in their most critical financial decisions from residency through retirement and manages small business retirement plans helping participants maintain disciplined investment strategies. Prior to founding FlatFeeCIO, Don has held Vice President positions at Bank of America Investments and SunTrust Investment Services and was Wealth Management Advisor at First South Bank. Don holds an MBA from the A.B. Freeman School of Business at Tulane University and earned a BA at Duke University.

William P. Bengen received a B.S. from M.I.T. in Aeronautics & Astronautics and an M.S. from the College for Financial Planning. He has had four careers: trained as an aerospace engineer, CEO of his family’s soft drink bottling business (NY), fee-only financial planning practitioner (CA), and currently a financial researcher and aspiring novelist (AZ). He is a former CFP ® licensee. In the early 1990’s, in response to client questions, Mr. Bengen began research on the sustainability of withdrawals from stock and bond portfolios, which gave rise to the so-called “4% Rule.” He is frequently quoted in major financial publications and appears regularly on financial industry podcasts. In 2014, he received NAPFA’s Robert J. Underwood Distinguished Service Award, and in 2017, the InvestmentNews Innovators Award. In 2023, he was awarded the Inside Information Iconoclast Award. In 2026, he received a Lifetime Achievement Award at the T3 technology conference. He currently lives in SaddleBrooke, AZ, where he continues his research into the “4% Rule.”

Attendee Participation Agreement (Terms & Conditions)
TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF ATTENDANCE AND PARTICIPATION AT FLEXMEDSTAFF 2026 FINANCIAL LITERACY SUMMIT
These are the terms (the “Agreement”) that govern your attendance at and/or participation in the FlexMedStaff 2026 Financial Literacy Summit(the “Event”) scheduled to take place virtually on May 2, 2026.
By registering for the Event you are agreeing to these terms, which form a legal contract between FlexMedStaff, LLC (“organizer”), and the registered attendee and/or participant (“you”). If you are registering on behalf of another it is your responsibility to ensure that the person attending is aware of these terms and accepts them, and by completing the registration you are warranting that you have made the attendee aware of these terms and that they have accepted these terms.
1. Event admission

1.1. Admittance. Your registration entitles you to admittance to the virtual Event. Any and all other costs associated with your attendance (including without limitation any travel and/or accommodation expenses) shall be borne solely by you and Organizer shall have no liability for such costs.

1.2. Termination. You acknowledge that Organizer reserves the right to request your removal from the Event if Organizer, in its sole discretion, considers your presence and/or behavior to create a disruption or to hinder the Event and/or the enjoyment of the Event by other attendees or speakers.

1.3. Media. By attending the Event you acknowledge and agree to grant the Organizer the right at the Event to record, film, photograph or capture your likeness in any media now available and hereafter developed and to distribute, broadcast, use or otherwise globally to disseminate, in perpetuity, such media without any further approval from you or any payment to you. This grant to the Organizer includes, but is not limited to, the right to edit such media, the right to use the media alone or together with other information, and the right to allow others to use and/or disseminate the media.

1.4. Event Content. You acknowledge and agree that the Organizer, in its sole discretion, reserves the right to change any and all aspects of the Event, including but not limited to, the Event name, themes, content, program, speakers, performers, hosts, moderators, and time.

1.5. Attendance: This Event is exclusively designed for physicians who are licensed to practice medicine in the United States and is intended to provide a platform for physicians to engage in meaningful discussions and knowledge exchange. Therefore, attendance is restricted to physicians only. To maintain the integrity of the conference and to avoid any potential conflicts of interest, attendance is strictly prohibited for individuals who are not licensed physicians or who hold ownership interests in staffing agencies.
1.6 This is a virtual Event hosted on a videoconferencing platform. This will allow physicians to log in remotely to the event via live stream. Physicians are not allowed to share their remote access to the event with other individuals. Physicians are not permitted to record the event through the live stream, nor are they allowed to reproduce any of the content. FlexMedStaff reserves the right to prosecute those that violate these policies.

2. Fee(s)

2.1. Payment. There are no fees to attend this event virtually.


3. Substitution and cancellation policy

3.1 There are no penalties for canceling your registration.

4. Privacy policy

4.1. Event Organizer is committed to protecting the privacy of its attendees. Your personal information will not be shared with 3rd party or sponsors of the Event.

5. Intellectual property

5.1. All intellectual property rights in and to the Event, the Event content and all materials distributed at or in connection with the Event are owned by FlexMedStaff, LLC and/or the Event sponsors or speakers presenting at the Event. You may not use or reproduce or allow anyone to use or reproduce any trademarks or other trade names appearing at the Event, in any Event content and/or in any materials distributed at or in connection with the Event for any reason without the prior written permission of FlexMedStaff, LLC.

5.2. For the avoidance of doubt, nothing in this Agreement shall be deemed to vest in you any legal or beneficial right in or to any trade marks or other intellectual property rights owned or used under license by FlexMedStaff, LLC or any of its affiliates or grant to you any right or license to any other intellectual property rights of FlexMedStaff, LLC or its affiliates, all of which shall at all times remain the exclusive property of FlexMedStaff, LLC and its affiliates.

6. Warranties and limitation of liability

6.1. The Organizer gives no warranties in respect of any aspect of the Event or any materials related thereto or offered at the Event and, to the fullest extent possible under the laws governing this Agreement, disclaims all implied warranties, including but not limited to warranties of fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, timeliness and merchantability. Neither Organizer nor its affiliates can accept any responsibility or liability for reliance by you or any person on any aspect of the Event and/or any information provided at the Event.

6.2. Other than to the extent required as a matter of law: (i) neither Organizer nor its affiliates shall be liable for any direct, indirect, special, incidental, or consequential costs, damages or losses arising directly or indirectly from the Event or other aspect related thereto or in connection with this Agreement. Participant agrees to not file lawsuit against Organizer or FlexMedStaff, LLC for any direct or indirect misrepresentation or inaccurate information presented at the Event.
6.3. Participant agrees to defend and indemnify Organizer and any of its affiliates (if applicable) and hold them harmless against any and all legal claims and demands, including reasonable attorney’s fees, which may arise from or relate to participant’s use or misuse of the Website, participant’s attendance at the Summit or participant’s attendance at social events held by Organizer.

6.4. The maximum aggregate liability of Organizer for any claim in any way connected with therewith or this Agreement whether in contract, tort or otherwise (including any negligent act or omission) shall be limited to the amount paid by you to Organzer under this Agreement to attend the Event.

7. Governing law and jurisdiction

7.1. This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of the State of Florida and the parties shall submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Florida courts.
7.2 All claims and disputes arising under or relating to this Agreement are to be settled by binding arbitration in the state of Florida or another location mutually agreeable to the parties. The arbitration shall be conducted on a confidential basis pursuant to the Commercial Arbitration Rules of the American Arbitration Association. Any decision or award as a result of any such arbitration proceeding shall be in writing and shall provide an explanation for all conclusions of law and fact and shall include the assessment of costs, expenses, and reasonable attorneys’ fees. Any such arbitration shall include a written record of the arbitration hearing. An award of arbitration may be confirmed in a court of competent jurisdiction.

8. Solicitation

8.1. Participants at Event are strictly prohibited from engaging in unsolicited promotion, distribution of promotional materials, or canvassing for business during the event, without prior written consent from the conference organizers. Any unauthorized solicitation of other participants at the Event may result in immediate removal from the premises without refund. By attending, participants acknowledge and agree to adhere to this policy throughout the conference.

9. Miscellaneous:
9.1This Agreement constitutes the entire understanding between the Participant and the Organizer and supersedes any prior agreements or understandings, whether written or oral.

10. Severability:
10.1. If any part or subpart of this Agreement is held invalid or unenforceable by a court of law or competent arbitrator, the remaining parts and sub-parts will be enforced to the maximum extent possible. In such condition, the remainder of this Agreement shall continue in full force.

11. Ideminification:
The attendee acknowledges and agrees that all content provided in connection with the the Event is for general educational and informational purposes only and does not constitute legal, tax, financial, or professional advice. Attendees are strongly encouraged to consult with qualified legal, tax, and financial professionals before making any decisions based on the information presented.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the attendee agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless FlexMedStaff, its owners, officers, employees, contractors, affiliates, and event speakers from and against any and all claims, demands, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or related to: (a) the attendee’s use or reliance on any information provided during the Event; (b) any actions or decisions taken based on such information; or (c) any breach of these terms and conditions.
FlexMedStaff and its speakers make no representations or warranties, express or implied, regarding the accuracy, completeness, or applicability of the information presented. Under no circumstances shall FlexMedStaff or any speaker be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from participation in the Event or reliance on its content.
