Thanks for taking the time to consider speaking at the 2025 Rise-up! Physician Summit. This event is hosted by FlexMedStaff and My DPC Story. We are seeking physicians to speak about their experiences of doing DPC and locums via agencies or contracting directly. Before filling out the application below, please review the Q&A. What is the Rise-up! Physician Summit?
The Rise-Up! Physician Summit is a virtual event taking place from October 23–26, designed to inspire and educate physicians exploring non-traditional career paths in medicine, including Direct Primary Care (DPC) and locum tenens. The event features pre-recorded lectures presented throughout the weekend, complemented by live Q&A sessions and panel discussions to deepen engagement and discussion around the topics covered. To learn more about the event click HERE.
What are the lecture requirments?
Physicians must be recognized experts in either Direct Primary Care (DPC) or locum tenens. Each speaker is required to submit a 30-minute pre-recorded lecture focused on a specific educational topic related to DPC or locums. The one exception is that talks on “Specaility Day” can be up to 1 hour long. The event organizers have curated a list of priority topics to ensure focused, non-overlapping content. While you are welcome to edit the title of your talk, the core topic and educational objective must remain aligned with the original intent. This helps maintain consistency and educational value across the event. Physicians who submit a lecture will not be required to be available virtually on the day of the event to answer questions from attendees, but would be appreciated. Physicians are welcome to present one or more lectures.
When will the lectures be recorded?
Each physician will work with the event organizers to record their 30-minute lecture before the event. Those speaking on “Specialty Day” will have up to 60 minutes.
How long does your talk need to be?
Each talk should be 30 minutes or less. If a lecture exceeds this time limit, physicians will be asked to revise it. This ensures the event stays on schedule and encourages speakers to deliver focused, high-value content without going off topic. Lectures given on “Specialty Day” can be up to one hour long.
What benefits do speakers receive?
Speakers will receive at least $299 for each talk they deliver. If the event proves to be highly popular, we may increase this amount or offer additional commission opportunities. Additionally, if the event is approved for 10 CME credits, speakers will receive these credits at no additional charge.
What topics can I talk about?
The event organizers have curated a list of lecture topics. Physicians interested in presenting should choose one or more topics from this list. While you may edit the title to fit your style, the core focus and purpose of the talk must remain consistent with the original intent. Please review the curated list of lecture titles below.
